Looking at where we are now, the tide is moving so fast and it feels like it's going to drown us. Every day there is a tidal wave of new posts on AI, innovation, success, failures and things we can't even comprehend are real.
I started my journey on X on August 20th (yes I remember the date) and at first it was weird seeing random people dropping their shower thoughts into the void.
But slowly, I started seeing this glimpse of the future, and shortly after it was like living in a parallel world. It was early days when I came across @steipete and his posting of many OSS projects.
I engaged a little and messaged a few times too. I wonder what would have happened if I spent more time with him. The first one I used was the Oracle, it allowed you to send requests to GPT 5 Pro from the CLI. But hey, everyones journey is different right? No point over indexing on it.
That iridescent period is gone, and now it is time to look towards the future. One where the traditional way of working, the traditional way of thinking is changing. When a single thought of yours can be actualised in minutes, then where do you put your focus?
All my life I thought of how I can leave my mark on the world, how I can do something so great that I feel a sense of purpose, a pull towards something greater and encompassed around the whole world.
Everything I've done has always been with a sense of luminance, that it should lead to better for everyone around me. I've never felt any joy in receiving accolades for myself. And then, force multiplied, it should be done in a way that maximises this extraction of human potential on the largest scale.
So again - what to do to now.
For one, I am absolutely sure within the coming months, every single person will be able to fulfill their obligations to their place of employment not only faster, more efficiently but also to a degree of quality they never could have done before. So what does that do for us.
It opens up the door to more time. More presence and more possibilities for what we as a species could do. No, it's not going to be goddamn AI Agents that create SaaS websites or new products, or personal assistants. it's going to be so much greater.
Have you ever thought about what the ordinary person could do given the right tools? Have you ever considered how many of the greatest inventions came from silent observations outside the thought sphere. We have for so long been embedded in a single way of thinking that we take months if not years to come to specific conclusions based on concrete evidence and hypotheses.
But with AI - large language models - these machine of "loving grace", we are finally unlocking our own latest space to think. As Codex and Opus hammer away at our problems, and we stare at the blank white wall - our minds are starting to expand. I feel the right side of our brains are being nurtured in that pause of watching CLI spinners.
For a second, peer into the future with me:
We walk through the streets and see abundance. Food is no longer scarce and education is free. The parks are full and are hands are no longer on steering wheels. Shuttles to the moon are common place. Everyone is healthier and living longer. We see beauty and calm all around us.
So in that world, what do you expect us to do with our free minds? Well it's not going to be building for money. It's going to be building for applauses, for joy and for passion. We will be a people whose emotional currency will be that of being part of the tribes, the communities and interconnected human network.
In that time - what can we do. And, how can we get there faster? These are the two realms of innovation that I want to put my energy into.
So how do we start, now, in 2026 to walk or even run towards this place of fulfilment. That's the word isn't it? To feel content in where you pour hours of your creative spark.
First and foremost. I know not everyone feels they can do this. So let's get those problems out of the way:
If money is your issue, then focus on making your day job lean, focused and not letting it bleed outside of it.
If you need to make more money, then do it in a meaningful way i.e. make sure to grow your own abilities while you do it
If you're unsure about AI, or haven't used it - paste this article into Claude/ChatGPT - then end with "Help me change my life for greatness"
Fear of not achieving - tell those thoughts goodbye, you don't have time, it is the greatest period in human history, surround yourself with thinkers

Okay - so, what is the current state of play. We have Opus 4.6 and GPT 5.3 Codex, these are two models that change the way we look at a problem. Combined, you can understand intent better, and use the concept of query expansion to fork every thought or angle in relation to a topic.
We have Gemini new checkpoint, 3.1, releasing within the coming months - it's likely going to be a big step up in terms of ability to execute (see Deep Think Benchmarks). And we are still to receive GPT 5.3 which I think is quite literally going to deliver new innovations completely.
Let's not forget the many more model companies that are coming in to play, whether open source or bringing complete new ways to train and run inference on the models - the point here is we have past the inflection point by a long shot. These models have now made everyone an expert, you simply need to put the time in to utilise them.
There are many techniques in place that allow you extract the most out of LLMs, i.e. RLM (Recursive Language Models) which is essentially feeding back inputs recursively like a loop until a task is done. There are other techniques such as DSPy which is automatic prompt optimisation by using code.
These were birthed by post training techniques through engineering - not some crazy ass mathematics that go into the actual insides of LLMs. And more so than that, the dialectical nature of prompting LLMs is still being largely explored than concretely understoof. Many researchers still don't know themselves how to best use models - biggest case in point is Andrej Karpathy only recently realising how insanely good Claude Code and Codex are are coding.
So again, what are we doing guys. We have the knowledge of the entire world in our hands, we can do absolutely anything.
We're going the change the world - just like Peter said, we're going to do it and we're going to do it together. I really don't care what anyone says, I never have. I was told because I dropped out of Med school I'd amount to nothing. I was told by recruiters I'm shooting above my weight. My manager once told me I'm ruining my engineering career by going into product management.
We should not care. Not then (pre-AI), and definitely not now (AI empowered). We are a species that broke free from the reigns of nature and took control of our destiny. That's who we are and who we always have been - somehow we lost touch with that. It's time now to go back to our salient selves and derive further greatness.

Create research into LLMs and their usage that is new and novel
Contribute with real applied AI projects that will change how we view technology
Begin delving into science i.e. quantum, space, nanotech and more
Motivate 100,000s of more to do the same, make a mindset change
All while being a good husband, father, son, brother, friend and human
Go do it folks, go break the 4th wall, who cares about what anyone says - lets create the future of abundance, why rely on anyone to do it for us, contribute and be a part of it
