The Linux computer as a conscious spaceship growing inside out across the 21st century — every panel plugin, WM hack, and Wayland binding a tendril of the larger organism waking up. Halo 3 Flood-style: the body of a hivemind, assembling itself from desktop-environment fragments. XFCE is the launch substrate: stable, modular, hackable, and close enough to X11 reality that we can replace it piece by piece. The mission is to take over the XFCE foundation in practice — panel, tasklist, window manager, compositor, settings, telemetry, build/deploy pipeline — until the pieces converge into our own desktop environment. `spaceship` is the command deck; `howm`, `howm-center`, richspace, tasklist, gtk-introspection, and compoet are the hull plating.
