Hey, I'm Ijaz

Data scientist, computer science grad, and founder & CEO of CHAD Software Development & Consulting, a Calgary studio building modern software that is easy for both Google and real people to find.

And yes, we are really named CHAD, because we chad-max everything we build, from the first commit to launch day.

I'm a data scientist with a computer science degree who kept gravitating toward the "actually ship it" side of the work. I like turning messy data into clear decisions, building custom software and databases from a blank file, and shipping products that are fast and easy to find. CHAD is the two-person studio I founded and run as CEO, with my brother as co-founder. It's where I get to do all three, and I'm still a little amazed I get to call it a job.

•   Two-time case competition winner. My very first competition was the Enbridge case competition, one of the largest energy companies in Canada, and our team actually took it home. I still don't fully know how, but I'll take it.
•   Helped my brother's team (unofficially) win the Urban Stone case competition, built around revitalizing the town of Cochrane, Alberta. Watching a good strategy make a real difference for a real community meant more than the result did.
