This is actually a known quirk with GitHub's pin selector. It doesn't always load all your repos at once, especially if you have a lot of them.

One thing that's worked for people is searching the repo name directly in the "Edit pinned items" search box instead of scrolling through the list. Sometimes repos just don't show up in the default view but they appear when you search for them specifically.

Also worth checking if any of the missing repos are forks. GitHub doesn't let you pin forked repositories on your personal profile by default, even if they're public and have commits on them.

If neither of those apply, try opening the pin selector in a different browser entirely, not just incognito. There have been cases where browser extensions or cached sessions interfere with how the selector loads.

Hi @vaish455 — here are the rules for pinning repos on your profile:

Only these show up in "Customize your pins":

• Repos you own (personal account repos)
• Repos must be public (private repos cannot be pinned on a public profile)
• Maximum 6 pins total (repos + gists combined)

Repos that will NOT appear:

• ❌ Organization-owned repos (even if you're a member)
• ❌ Private repos
• ❌ Forks sometimes don't show if they're empty or archived

How to pin (step by step):

1. Go to https://github.com/YOUR_USERNAME
2. In the Pinned section, click "Customize your pins"
3. Search for the repo name
4. Select up to 6 repos
5. Click Save pins

If a public repo you own still doesn't appear:

1. Confirm you're on your profile (not an org profile)
2. Check the repo isn't archived — archived repos may be hidden
3. Make sure the repo has at least one commit on the default branch
4. Try a different browser or incognito mode (you already tried this — good)

Note: There is currently no API to pin repos — it must be done through the GitHub website while logged in.

If a specific repo is missing, share its name and whether it's personal or org-owned — that usually explains it.
